Logan, Jared, Jack and Taylor (Nat's kids)! Thanks to Natelli for watching Jack for me while I was doing training for my new job.

Beautiful Flowers

A couple of weeks ago Jared sent me these beautiful flowers for no reason, I was so excited because I don't get flowers very often. This picture was taken two weeks after getting them and they still look beautiful. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! I love you Jared!!!

Jack's Room

Mommy and Jack's hands
Jack's feet (3 months old)

His room is an airplane themed room, it is almost done but we still have some old looking airplanes to hang around the ceiling. Jared did the great paint job and thanks to Kassey for the adorable lettering on the wall!
We had these curtains made. I think they turned out pretty good!

My First Marathon

Meg and me the morning of the marathon, feeling good and ready! Woo hoo
Mile 17 still feeling pretty good. I ran the first 8 and then ran/walked the next 5 but by mile 14 my knees were killing me so I had to walk the rest. Jared and Jack met me along the way and encouraged me to keep going. The Poulsen's and my family were also there to keep me going.
Finally finishing the race. There was a guy the last block that said "it's not much further... come on just run you can do it... come on" I wanted to punch him in the face because I could barely bend my knees (pain, lots of pain)
And, here are my poor toes two weeks after the marathon. No they are not painted, that is bruising on my big toes
So I am happy that I did the marathon. My goal was to finish and I did it but I was mad about my time so I think if my knees allow me to... I am going to do one more next year. I know, Crazy!

The Alpine Loop

Bridle Veil Falls
We went for a drive on the alpine loop several weeks ago and thought we would go for a hike instead Jack ended up throwing up all over himself and so that kind of ruined things so instead we stopped and cleaned him up, took some pictures and drove home. Oh well next time!

Results of Jared's work party

Jared's work had a summer work party this past July and Jared thought it would be a good idea to slide into second base while only wearing his regular shorts and t-shirt. This is the result of his athletic abilities!
And this is how he felt about it!

More on family vacation

Grizzly bear approaching its victims! We spotted a bear far away and were looking at it with our binoculars when we noticed this grizzly bear about 100-150 yards away playing in the bushes. It walked up toward the road and these stupid people didn't get in their cars. Cookoo
Scott and Wade looking at the bears
A cute picture of Jackson and Jared
Our new sister in law Kali wants to be a photographer so she took our new family picture. Good job Kali. There used to be a huge Pepsi truck on the right but Jared photo shopped it out. Good job Jared!

The Annual Poulsen Vacation

Standing in front of a stinky sulfuric gyser
Jack and Jared in front of (as John calls it) old dissapointment
We waited an hour and a half to see old faithful go off. As you can see Jack didn't find this very exciting!
Niki, John and Tina walking on the path around the stinky mud pots and gysers
Jack and Grandpa Scott! Jack didn't last very long in this backpack but it was fun while it lasted
